Clippers trade Lou Williams and Welcome Rajon Rondo
In case you were not aware, the day of the trade deadline the Clippers made a move and sent Lou Williams for Rajon Rondo from the Atlanta Hawks. This season for the hawks Rajon Rondo averaged about 4 points and 3.5 assists per game, really a shell of his days in his prime. Rajon Rondo was also on the Lakers last season when they won the championship, so this could be the piece that the Clippers needed to compete as he brings in a ton of experience in playoff situations. Rajon rondo could also be a good piece for the locker room so this is most likely why the trade was made.
In order to get Rajon Rondo the Clippers had to trade Lou Williams to the Atlanta Hawks. For the Clippers Lou Williams averaged 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists this season. Williams was a bench piece for LA but he put up respectable numbers and that is what the Hawks hope he can do for them. It’s gonna be interesting to see how this trade works out for both teams as the regular season starts to draw to a close.
