Here we go with the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. Last week was very interesting as the Titans knocked off the Patriots (called that one) and the Vikings beat the Saints in The Big Easy (big missed). Without further hesitation or BS lets jump into the matchups this weekend. All spreads and over/under are as of 5pm EST on January 9, 2020.

AFC Divisional Matchups

Tennessee @ Baltimore – Spread: Ravens -10 – O/U of 47

Wow did Derrick Henry remind us what a beast he is! He amassed 34 carries for 182 yards on ground, which works out to an average of 5.4/yards a carry. That is quite impressive against the Patriots defensive unit that averaged 4.2/yards per carry over the season. The Titans come into this week with a head of steam as they make their way to Baltimore. I cannot say enough about the impact that Lamar Jackson has had on Baltimore and the NFL as whole, which I think will be on full display this weekend. I would say these defenses are comparable, but the efficiency of these offenses is not. I can see this game being within reach of the Titans at the halftime break, but the Ravens win convincingly.

Prediction: 34-21 Ravens – O/U taking the Over

Houston @ Kansas City – Spread: Chiefs -10 – O/U of 51

Houston was able to rebound in the 2nd half and knock off the Bills and the beloved Bills Mafia. Now Deshaun Watson and the Texans get to travel to KC to take on Andy Reid’s Chiefs. I was not very high on the Texans heading into this postseason and was surprised at the adjustment they were able to make going into the 2nd half last weekend and being able to finish it off in OT. Patrick Mahomes & Co. have to much fire power on offense. Watson will do what he always does and try to keep this one interesting, but I think that will count a lot of if Will Fuller is available to stretch the field and open up the big pay dimension of that offense that is lacking when he is off the field (injured). I see this one playing out similar to the other AFC matchup this weekend.

Prediction: 31 – 20 Chiefs – O/U – PUSH!

NFC Divisional Matchups

Minnesota @ San Francisco – Spread: 49ers -7 – O/U of 44.5

The Vikings were the surprise of last weekend if you ask me. Why? Well, they went into New Orleans and got the job done. If you took a look at my Wildcard predictions I had the Saints winning by a large margin. Damn, I got that one wrong. Now headed to San Francisco for another tough matchup. To make it even harder it appears the 49ers defense is getting healthy, and it looks like Kwon Alexander, Dee Ford, and Jaquiski Tartt will all play this weekend. That is quite the boost for the NFC #1 seed. I think Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers will be to much to handle for the Kirk Cousins led Vikings. This one may be closer than most are imagining however.

Prediction: 23 – 17 49ers – O/U  – Under

Seattle @ Green Bay – Spread: Packers -5 – O/U of 46.5

Oh man, nothing like an evening playoff match in Lambeau Field. Seattle comes in after handling business in Philadelphia last weekend and DangeRuss Wilson seems prepared to keep winning on the road. Can Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offense keep up? For me the Packers need to play error proof football and get the ball into the hands of Aaron Jones if they are going to pull this one out. On the other side, can DK Metcalf match or exceed his performance last week? I don’t think he has to but I am pretty positive he will get double digit targets Sunday Night. I expect the Seahawks to pull the upset in Lambeau this weekend!

Prediction: 24 – 21 Seattle – O/U – Under
