    "Haven't produced a power 5 player in a decade and a half"
Here was this homeless family, a father and 4/5 children. Talk about the rose that grew from concrete. From poverty to prosperity, humble through both ordeals. Hats off to you young brother.

Proud to have such a fine young man part of my Raiders. Best offensive player we've drafted in as long as I can remember. So glad Mike Mayock believed in him so much to make him our 2nd pick in the 1st rd last year.

I'm drafting him next year in fantasy no doubt. Guys like him come every day to play at the highest level of intensity with great passion. Josh, if you see this, never forget where you came from. Let that be your fuel. The struggle. Whether you're off the field, in the weight room or in the game, never forget.

I am a big Raider fan and he was the only pick out of the 3 first rounders that I really wanted and predicted. I was jumping around so happy because we picked him. Watching him every sunday is a treat and he will be an all-time great and will win OROTY.

No matter who you are, no matter where you come from, you can do it. If you are good enough, they will find you. NOBODY wanted Jacobs out of high school. Nick Saban saw a 3 minute tape and said he can play. Now, he is poised to be a featured back in the NFL.

As a raiders fan die hard wirh is why I love Gruden and Mayock. They pick people with heart and talent, he picks the best people. As Jacobs said he wants to retire a raider. And put some respect on #28. We love you Josh

I like how the raiders coach called josh and told him "I told you we have three first round picks in this draft and if you're still available were gonna get ya"

When a coach has confidence in a player like that it's awesome

From a homeless kid to a multimillionaire professional football player… truly inspirational.
If only there were more fathers in the world like his. He saw potential in his kids and knew that he had to keep fighting because there was a life for them beyond the streets. He struggled because he wanted to see his kids live out their dreams. The whole family deserves all of this.
They fought on and kept their heads held up high, even when things seemed hopeless and bleak.
