The Butchers Block: Bourbon Chicken Over Asparagus

Bourbon Chicken Recipe
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup apple cider
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup soy sauce
2-3 large shots of bourbon
1 onion shallot
3 large cloves of garlic
2 lbs of boneless chicken
1 bundle of asparagus

Step 1: Cut boneless chicken into cubes

Step 2: Finely chop the onion shallot and cloves of garlic. Mix together in a bowl and set aside.

Step 3: In a small mixing bowl mix the brown sugar, soy sauce, water apple cider and bourbon together.

Step 4: In a sauté pan or wok add 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil and cubed chicken. Cook on medium heat until 75% done.

Step 5: Add the bourbon sauce mix to the chicken. Cook at medium to medium high heat until sauce reaches desired thickness.

Step 6: Place Asparagus in a sauté pan with 3-4 tablespoons of olive oil. Sauté on medium high heat for 5 minutes.

Step 7: place Asparagus in a row on plate and chicken on top of that. Drizzle sauce over top of chicken.

Step 8: STUFF FACE AND ENJOY 👍🏻👍🏻
